Cicada is a tough cookie of a goat. She is a member of the elite group of our first five milkers and therefore has been with us for over three years now. With fancy Roeburn heritage, we picked her up from a breeder in NH on a hot summer day and her cry instantly reminded us of the call of a cicada. She was around before Elvis joined the farm, and she definitely takes on the role of goat.defender, especially with a keen eye for my brothers little dog, Ajax. Her daughter Caddis was a true sweetheart and is now part of a new herd of cheese goats up in the Northeast Kingdom. Her daughter Salmon is still on the farm and is a true beauty. It should be noted that Cicada hates bugs. Watching her in the field she is often tangoing in such a way to keep.them.off.
